COMMUNITY | Helping Our Community Grow
We make it a top priority to be involved in our local community. Each year we make donations to local schools and charities. We are a proud sponsor of Mile High Ambucs which provides mobility solutions to children and veterans with disabilities. We have made auction contributions to multiple Elementary Schools, Community Fundraisers, and the National MS Society.
It’s also very important to us to make an effort to support cyclists of all levels, abilities, and ambitions. We help organize a Bike to Work Day Breakfast Station and Bike Home from Work Refueling Station. We also provide tech support and prize donations for the Greenwood Goosechase annually. We offer our time and expertise to help the Boy Scouts of America complete cycling merit badges and bike safety checks.
The Alpha Bicycle Company Junior Development Program is the fastest growing youth cycling program in Colorado. We have made a huge effort to get kids hooked on an active lifestyle through bicycle racing and group rides. The program provides coaching and material resources to kids ages 7 – 18, from beginners to national champions.
Race Teams
For 2012, we are excited to announce the merger of the Alpha Bicycle Company Cycling Team and the Groove Subaru Cycling Team.
The new team, Groove Subaru – Alpha Bicycle Co. , looks to use the knowledge and resources of both programs to create a “super team” that can offer a place to grow throughout ones bike racing experience. The team will strive to provide pro level race support, quality equipment and technical service, and a supportive environment complete with professional coaching and experienced mentorship. The team will consist of riders from age 7 to 65, beginners to multiple national champions. Keep an eye out at Colorado road, cross and mountain bike races for the team.
Junior Programs
We are extremely proud to sponsor the fastest growing junior cycling program in Colorado. Our team is focused on junior development and the growth of the sport of cycling in a healthy, fun and supportive environment.
The team will consist of 40 juniors with a continued focus on cyclocross. The closed course, technical nature, and supportive environment of cyclocross make it a perfect fit to develop bike racers of all ages.
New for 2012, we are excited launch a Junior Elite Program.
The team will consist of juniors ages 13 – 18 that will work side by side with Coach Ben Ollett and our Masters Elite racers to create a year round racing program including all disciplines. We hope to grow quality athletes that work hard to achieve their peak performance while realizing the importance of clean, fair play and teamwork.
