Born Right Brain Dependent, With a Real Eye for Detail
Kevin shares his artistic bloodline with his late grandfather Joe, who was a commercial artist, as well as his great grandfather August Leimbach, who was a sculptor. August created the Madonna of the Trail sculpture for The Daughters of the American Revolution in 1927, for which the monument itself marks the Old Trails Route across the U.S.
Kevin has been providing creative services for longer than he'll ever admit, and has also shared his creative know-how by teaching at various colleges in the Midwest. Working solo can be a rather obscure existance, so from time to time his illustration and design achievements are exposed through PRINT, Communication Arts, and ADDY awards.
When not jumping through hoops to meet a deadline, Kevin spends much of his time in the great outdoors with sidekicks, daughter Kenzie, and Ranger and Sage, a couple of trusty cattle dogs adopted from his journies in New Mexico and Nevada. Their current playground of inspiration are the Sierra-Nevada Mountains and Virginia Range, near their home in Virginia Foothills, Nevada.
